Lesson FAQ

Q: Do I need a guitar to take lessons?

A: Yes, any guitar will do for the first few lessons. Mike can help evaluate the instrument. Keep in mind that most music stores offer instrument rentals or rent to purchase if need be.

Q: Am I too old/young to take lessons?

A: No - if you want to take lessons, any age is the right age. Mike has students from age 6 to 80 + years old!

Q: I want to sing while playing guitar.  Can you help?

A: Yes, of course! Accompanying oneself on the guitar can be extremely rewarding and Mike has many tips and exercises that can aid in achieving that goal.
